This Privacy Policy describes how CharmsBot ("the Bot," "we," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your data when you interact with it on Discord. By using the Bot, you agree to the practices outlined in this policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Bot.

To provide the Bot’s functionality, we collect the following data:

• Discord User ID: A unique identifier provided by Discord to associate your data, such as characters and analyses, with your Discord account. This ensures your data is accessible only to you.
• Character Information: When you use commands to manage characters, we collect:
  • Character name (provided by you).
  • Character stats, including level, maximum hitpoints, maximum mana, and charm points.
  • Selected charms from the list of available Tibia in-game charms.
• Hunt Data: When you use hunt analysis features, such as calculating optimal charms or weapon proficiency XP, we collect:
  • Information about killed monsters and session times you provide.
  • Derived data, such as damage calculations or experience estimates, generated from your inputs.
• Saved Analyses: If you choose to save hunt analyses or charm configurations, we store:
  • An optional name you assign to each analysis or configuration.
  • Details of the analyses, including creature names, charm assignments, and calculated results.

This data is essential for delivering a personalized and functional experience for managing your Tibia characters and analyzing hunts.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to operate the Bot and provide its services, including:

• Character Management: Enabling you to add, edit, delete, or view information about your Tibia characters through specific commands.
• Hunt Analysis: Processing hunt data to calculate optimal charm assignments, damage estimates, or weapon proficiency XP to help you optimize your gameplay.
• Storage of Configurations: Saving and displaying hunt analyses or charm configurations you choose to store for future reference.
• Functionality Improvement: Using interaction data to identify errors, enhance the Bot’s performance, and ensure a smooth user experience.

We do not use your data for purposes unrelated to the Bot, such as advertising or external analytics.

3. Data Storage and Security

Storage: Your data is stored in a secure database, linked to your Discord User ID to keep it organized and accessible only to you.

Retention: We retain your data until you delete it using commands like /character delete (which removes a character and all associated data) or /hunt delete (which removes specific saved hunt data). If the Bot is discontinued, all stored data will be securely deleted.

Security: We implement reasonable measures to protect your data, such as secure database configurations. However, no system is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share or sell your data to third parties, except in the following cases:

• Discord API: The Bot operates within Discord’s ecosystem, and certain data, such as your User ID, is processed through Discord’s API to enable interactions.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, such as in response to a court order or legal request.
• Service Providers: We use third-party services, such as a database provider, to store data. These providers only access data necessary for their services and are bound by their own privacy policies.

• View your data with /character view to see your characters.
• Edit your data with the /character edit command.
• Delete your data with /character delete (including all associated analyses) or /hunt delete.
• Stop using the Bot at any time, and your data will remain secure until you choose to delete it.

6. Third-Party Services

The Bot relies on the following third-party services:

• Discord API: To process commands, send messages, and manage interactions.
• Database Service: To store and retrieve your character and analysis data.

These services have their own privacy policies, which we recommend you review to understand how they handle your data.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the Bot’s functionality or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page, and the “Effective Date” will be revised. Continued use of the Bot after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
