CharmsBot

Welcome to CharmsBot ("the Bot," "we," "us," or "our"), a Discord bot designed to assist players of the game Tibia with character management and hunt analysis. By using the Bot, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("ToS"). If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Bot.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By adding CharmsBot to a Discord server, using its commands, or interacting with its features, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all users, whether you are an individual player or a server administrator. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date." Your continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Description of the Bot

CharmsBot is a tool designed to enhance your Tibia gaming experience by providing features such as:

• Character Management: Allowing you to add, edit, delete, or view Tibia character details, including names, stats (level, maximum hitpoints, maximum mana, charm points), and selected charms.
• Hunt Analysis: Processing hunt data you provide (e.g., killed monsters, session times) to calculate optimal charm assignments, damage estimates, or weapon proficiency XP.
• Saved Configurations: Storing and retrieving hunt analyses or charm configurations for future reference.

The Bot operates within Discord’s platform and uses commands like /character add, /character view, /character edit, /character delete, /analysis, /bestcharms, /element, /hunt view, /hunt delete, /hunt rename, /splitloot, /weaponxp, /hotcuisine, and /help to deliver these services.

3. Eligibility and Account Requirements

To use CharmsBot, you must:

• Have a valid Discord account and comply with Discord’s Terms of Service.
• Provide accurate and truthful information when using the Bot’s commands (e.g., character names, hunt data).
• Not use the Bot for any unlawful or prohibited activities, as outlined in Section 4.

We do not impose age restrictions beyond Discord’s minimum age requirement of 13, but you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use CharmsBot in a manner that is lawful, respectful, and consistent with its intended purpose. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Use the Bot to violate Discord’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• Submit false, misleading, or inappropriate data (e.g., invalid character stats or hunt data) to disrupt the Bot’s functionality.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or interfere with the Bot’s code, database, or operations.
• Use the Bot to harass, spam, or harm other users or Discord servers.
• Overload the Bot with excessive commands or automated requests that could impair its performance.
• Use the Bot for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

Violation of these rules may result in restrictions on your access to the Bot, including temporary or permanent bans, at our sole discretion.

5. User Responsibilities

As a user, you are responsible for:

• Accuracy of Data: Ensuring the data you provide (e.g., character stats, hunt data) is accurate. The Bot relies on your inputs to generate analyses, and inaccurate data may lead to incorrect results.
• Server Permissions: If you are a server administrator, you are responsible for ensuring the Bot has the necessary permissions to function (e.g., sending messages, embedding links) and for managing its use in your server.
• Data Management: Using the Bot’s commands (e.g., /character delete, /hunt delete) to manage or remove your data as needed. We are not responsible for data you choose to retain.
• Compliance with Laws: Ensuring your use of the Bot complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws.

6. Intellectual Property

CharmsBot, including its code, design, and functionality, is the intellectual property of its developer(s). You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Bot without explicit permission. If you use any Tibia graphics or content from CipSoft, you must respect their copyrights and policies.

7. Third-Party Services

CharmsBot relies on third-party services to function, including:

• Discord API: To process commands, send messages, and manage interactions within Discord.
• Database Service: To store and retrieve user data, such as character information and saved analyses.

These services are subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies, which you should review. We are not responsible for the actions, policies, or performance of these third-party services.

8. Limitation of Liability

CharmsBot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Bot will be available at all times, free of errors, or compatible with all Discord servers or user setups. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Bot, including but not limited to data loss, inaccurate analyses, or server disruptions.
• We are not responsible for the accuracy of the Bot’s calculations if you provide incorrect or incomplete data.
• We are not affiliated with CipSoft GmbH or the Tibia game, and use of the Bot does not imply endorsement by them.

You use the Bot at your own risk, and we encourage you to verify the Bot’s outputs before relying on them for gameplay decisions.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to CharmsBot at any time, with or without notice, for reasons including but not limited to violation of these Terms. If you wish to stop using the Bot, you may remove it from your Discord server or delete your data using the /character delete or /hunt delete commands. Upon termination, any stored data associated with your Discord User ID will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service to reflect changes in the Bot’s functionality, legal requirements, or operational needs. Updates will be posted on this page, and the “Effective Date” will be revised. Your continued use of the Bot after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed.
